News for Jan 4-8

Welcome Back!

Welcome to a new decade! Did you know that decades mark every 10 years! What does a century mark?

We will begin exploring the genre of biography in anticipation of our wax museum. We will present book reports on a biography of a NON-living person the first week in March and present our wax museum during Lutheran Schools Week—tentatively March 9. This report will require a display board depicting the biography character chosen. Please make sure the display board can stand on its own. (Display boards can be purchased at Staples and the like. Get the smallest one you can find.) For our wax museum, your child will be dressing like his/her character. There is no need to dress like the character for the report, just the museum. Stay tuned for more information!

Now is a good time to ask your child if he/she needs new pencils, crayons, markers, etc. Many of our supplies have dwindled and are in need of replenishment.

May God richly bless you this new year!

Mrs. Rumsey

  5. I knew that a decade marks 10 years, and a century is 100 years.
