Third Grade News—April 6-9
• Welcome to fourth quarter! Our time together is moving much too quickly. Report cards will come home on Thursday.
• No school—Friday, April 10—Good Friday
• No school—April 13-17—Easter Vacation
• If you don’t have your own church, we would love to have you join us at Salem for our Easter celebration!
• Given that reading is a key aspect to life-long learning, we are going to be concentrating more on our comprehension strategies during our home education time during the fourth quarter. Practice on spelling words and memory will still be a requirement, as well as penmanship, All About Me, math practice when it is needed and a night of blogging to encourage practice in our writing skills. However, two nights a week 25 minutes of reading will be required. I will let you and your child pick the two nights where reading is 25 minutes rather than 15.
Well for me I should be doing 25 minutes every day (My Mom said this!)

I think I might just read every night because I love reading so much. Reading is my favorite thing to do especially when I have a good book to read. :D
