Third Grade News—Feb. 9-12

• Our chapel this week (Wed.) will be an appearance by Children of the World Choir. If you didn’t get to see them last year, please plan on attending. They are orphaned children from all over the world and their ministry of witnessing will bring tears to your eyes. They will also be giving a free concert on Wed. night at 7:00 in the gym.

• Our lunch box social will be Thursday. I recognize that our parents are the reason this celebration is such a success and would like to thank you for taking the time and energy to make our Valentine’s Day so special. It is great fun to see how delighted every child is when they are passed a lunch that someone else has created and enhanced for them. Have your child bring his/her buddy’s lunch to school without a name on it. We will have time to deliver any Valentine cards before our lunch. Then the boys will stay in our room and the girls will go to Mrs. Surridge's room to eat our lunches and open our cards. Free dress as long as it’s Valentine colors!

• No school Friday, Feb. 14 or Monday, Feb. 16 in celebration of Presidents’ Day.

• The wax museum has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 3th, starting around 9:00. Please plan to walk through if you can. If you can spend the morning with us, we would love to recruit some of you as docents.

    Dear Mrs.Rumsey,

Great plan! I'm happy I'm here on earth because I'm for God by making the world a better place.

    Sincerely,
