News Oct. 20-24

Wow! If you got to attend the Silent Auction you know what a successful event looks like! Thank you to Leilani Martin—who fearlessly tackled the enormity of the cause and spent hours planning, preparing for and soliciting your help to create a night in honor of our children—and every one of you who participated in any of a thousand ways to make Salem the abundantly blessed place that it is!

• It’s Red Ribbon Week!
• Tues—Wear red hats! (with your uniform)
• Wed—Wear red socks! (with your uniform)
• Thurs—Wear red shirts! (jeans, okay)
• Fri—Wear all red! (Donut Day, too-$1)

Red Ribbon Homework is due Friday! Paper was sent home Monday!

• It’s our second week of testing and, although there will be fewer tests this week, I would like to continue to encourage a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast and snack.

• Your child may bring a pumpkin dressed, painted or carved as any story character to school on Thursday, Oct. 30. We will guess which character is being portrayed sometime during the morning.
• No school—Oct. 31—Plan to join us for the Harvest Festival from noon to four!
